Gift Card Purses

I saw these cute little purses in Becky Roberts’ blog.  I purchased the template & tutorial through her site which includes 3 styles.  They are easy to make and fun to pick out embellishments for. They will hold a gift card or even a small gift.  Perfect for Mother's Day gifts or Birthdays.

Mini Wooden Clipboards

4in x 6in mini clipboard with a dowel holding them up.  Oh so cute!

Wooden Picture Frames

These were super fun to make!  The letters are foam and really stand out in person.  Both are for co-workers.  The right frame was ordered, the left is for a surprise baby gift.  (E&G-don't tell Logan)  :)
They hold a 5x7 photo.  I have some 4x6 frames to work on now.

Pencil Boxes With Erasers

Now that the holiday season has past, I am back to work.  I am in the mood for valentine crafts, so this is what I came up with.  I found the idea online made as a Christmas theme.  I think they would be fun for school age children.  Maybe gifts for teachers to give to their students.  I am pricing them at $2.50 each for my craft booth.  I am going to make 50 of them and move on to a new project.  I will post again then.  :)

DVD Tin Notebooks

I found these DVD Tins at effectuality.com.  I am turning them into notebooks with a matching pen, decorated paper clip, and pocket for notes.  I think I will try different items inside in the future, calendars, photo holders, etc...

Hershey's Snowmen

A big thank you to Laurie Furnell for this cute snowman candy wrapper template.  My mom and I sat down this afternoon to make 36 of these.  In the process we re-familiarized ourselves with a sewing machine after what had to be 20 years.  I had so much fun - I need to find more sewing projects!

I have been collecting scrapbook supplies for years with the intent to scrapbook all my pictures.  I have only finished 1 album with 3 or 4 unfinished sitting around.  Last year I got into making "gifty" items.  It was not going so well until I ran across a blog - kerryspapercrafts.com.  Kerry has a video for most of her projects she posted - step by step instructions explaining how to put each item together.  I finally knew what tools I needed to make them stay together and look nice!  She has also posted links to other blogs of people doing the same thing that I checked out.  So now I am working on making each item my own design, and using up all this paper stuff I have collected.

I am starting out with these post-it note holders.  They are so much fun!  I want to make different themes - holidays, teacher gifts, sports, kids, and everyday designs.

Day 1

My goal is to have a craft booth ready to go by spring of 2011.  I wanted to set up this blog to document my journey along the way.  So here we go... first step is to figure out how to set up a blog.  It has been challenging, but I think I have it down now.  My background is from thecutestblogontheblock.com - they have all kinds of different themes.  As my husband will tell you, I get a kick out of changing our backgrounds on the computer - I am sure I will do the same with the blog.  I will be posting pictures of my projects as I go.  I am so excited to get started!
